George Orwell Studies is a biannual, paperback, academic, peer-reviewed journal. It aims to carry a range of scholarly articles:
- on Orwell's life and works and related Orwellian themes (fully referenced and of roughly 6,000 words);
- shorter articles (of, say, 3,000 words);
- polemical pieces (where appropriate);
- interviews with Orwell scholars and others;
- a reviews section looking at biographies and studies of his work, at new editions of his work – and stage, TV, radio and film adaptions;
- news items.
The journal aims to have at least one paper every issue looking at Orwell from an international perspective.
Each volume contains two issues, published half-yearly. |
