This report describes the findings of research carried out by academic staff in the University of Kent’s Centre for Journalism following the award of a research grant by News UK and Ireland Ltd. Our research was scheduled to coincide with Ofcom’s assumption of its duties as the BBC’s new regulator. It was carried out according to the University of Kent’s Standard Terms and Conditions for Research Grants. Our primary listening took place between 26 February 2018 and 14 October 2018.
